“My buddy sells firewood; he took half of it and labeled it as ‘organic’ and managed to sell it at a 50% price increase.”
Thus starts a blog titled, “Can’t Change the Product? Change the Offer,” one of dozens of entertaining and informative articles at www.actionsystems.wordpress.com.
If you have even a passing interest in learning the secrets of how to excel in sales, sales management, sales training, coaching, or marketing, check out this blogsite, by long-time human performance consultant Gregory LaMothe.
Gregory’s blog delivers free, common-sense advice, tactics, and know-how, in engaging, easily-digested, weekly articles he terms: “Friday Fables.” And incidentally, I should point out that the “organic firewood story” is not his idea — he just re-tells it as one of several examples of how to “think like a customer”.
I found Gregory, or rather he found me, when he began following my own blog, www.MarketingCommunicationsInk.com, covering business, marketing and career advice. So I checked out his.
After devouring six or seven articles, one after the next, I was so excited by his non-manipulative, super-effective sales techniques, which are as applicable to B2B as they are to B2C, that I immediately shared his contact info with my former Sales VP. And now, I’d like to share with you.
Free Blog Advice
Of course, his blog is free, and there’s plenty to be learned there. But if you’d like more, Gregory heads up a consulting firm called ActionSystems, which for over 30 years has offered training on how to find and maintain a customer-centric approach to sales and marketing.
ActionSystems
According to the website, www.actionsystemstraining.com, “ActionSystems is a leading sales training and performance improvement company.”
As always, I’ll add that I have no affiliation with Gregory’s firm, have never used his services, and receive no compensation from him. Speaking of compensation, apparently, ActionSystems is so confident you’ll like their services, they offer a free one-day trial of their training course, which promises to “drive desired business results.”
Do You Know How to “Think Like a Customer?”
So, do you face sales or marketing challenges? Then check out this blog. I promise, you won’t be disappointed. Then let me hear your thoughts.
Do Gregory’s concepts resonate with you? And what have you done to “think like a customer” in your sales or marketing world?
